What was the topic?
Lecture Link: VR/AR
Who facilitated (the team in charge)
First of all, Jackie introduced what AR is and what the related technologies are.
And then, Yuan showed us how AR works, walked us through the history of AR, and held the game section.
Next, Ruitao introduced existing products, including applications and tools, especially for designers.
Finally, Hridae introduced VR and held the VR game section.
What was the activity?
AR: Play with an AR App called "Just a Line", within which gamers are able to create 3D drawings individually or by pairs.
VR: Play an archery VR game.
Notes I took, photos, sketchnotes, output from activity, etc.
What was interesting?
The AR drawing is good but there is a technical issue that we were not able to pair with others to do group drawing.
The existing products and tools for designers are great :) I would definitely have a try to see whether these tools could help me with my design process or not.
What was helpful?
The informative and representative examples of existing products offer us resources to explore.
In-class engaging activities were good.
What (if anything) was applicable to your own project?
Presentation techniques: Informative and representative examples
Content: I may try the AR technology on my side project :) Excited lol!
